THE GUNPOWDER BRIDE

Synopsis

Inspector Maya Young has spent three years failing to touch Don Vittorio Marchetti. Her new assignment: marry his estranged son Nico to get inside. On their wedding night, blade to his throat and gun to her spine, they discover thetruth at the same moment — he's been informing on his own father for the FBI for three years, and their marriage was approved with suspicious speed by both of their agencies. Someone wanted them in that room together. Vittorio, it turns out, is the one who arranged it — hoping two undercover operatives would kill each other and save him the trouble of two investigations. Instead, they fall in love, and have to find out together who inside the Bureau made their wedding possible before that person finishes what Vittorio started.
