After a brief pause, he said, his voice low, "The company just started, and you're already talking about shares?"

"Why can't I bring it up?" I shot back. "I haven't contributed anything to your company, so I don't have any right to your shares.

"Same goes for you.

"You don't have any right to my clients either."

He shot to his feet. "So you really want to draw such a clear line between us now, huh?"

"Yes." I nodded. "Even brothers settle their accounts. All the more so when it comes to business."
