The next morning.

Helen left for work as usual.

Before she left, she noticed the bento box James had brought home last night sitting in the fridge, meant for two people. He'd eaten his share, but the other half was still untouched, as if it was never meant for her at all.

Helen tossed the takeout box straight into the trash.
