I kept tailing the car until we ended up in a tiny, out-of-the-way town.

Adam arrived at the scene with his bodyguards.

Fearing for Nora's safety, we split up to look for her.

When I finally found her, she was filthy, with her little dress snagged and torn by the branches.

Nora was crying her eyes out, clinging to my clothes. "Mommy, I thought I'd never see you again. I was so scared," she sobbed.

Once I was sure she was okay, I turned to face the couple lurking nearby.
