The council, led by Lucian Nightshade, is hell-bent on making sure Sybil never rises to the top. But not all is as it seems. Lucian has secrets. The kind of secrets that could get him killed. But after a shared dance at a ball and a night of passion, things start to change between Sybil and Lucian. Sparks fly. Their hatred for each other forgotten, even if for a while. When Lucian's secrets come out, he's forced to choose between love and vengeance. What will he choose?
