On the way back, I kept chatting and joking with Katie, just like before.

No matter how I looked at her, she seemed completely normal.

Even when I pretended to be a ghost to scare her, she'd get startled and hide behind me.

Would a ghost really be scared of a ghost? That didn't make any sense.

Even though I knew she was putting on an act, I kept quiet and played along.
