(Mark's POV)

At seven in the morning, Mark drove Grace down the tree-lined avenue of their neighborhood.

Grace sat in the passenger seat, holding a cup of hot chocolate Mark had bought specifically for her.

" Mark, Elena must have been furious last night. It's all my fault," Grace spoke softly, her eyes still somewhat red, her voice sounding timid.

"When we get home later, I'll apologize to Lily and give her that brooch."

"As long as Elena can calm down, I'll do whatever it takes."
