Chapter 2

So far, so good. The crowd at Juxtapose was energetic, horny, gropey. Erin approved, laughing as someone cupped his package. Didn’t matter who’d done it. The dancing, the music thrumming through him, the lust he could practically taste, all of it was moving him out of his mind and putting him squarely into a state of physical enjoyment.

Sweat ran down his back. The scents of musk and other men surrounded him. Erin kept his eyes closed and just let himself feel—right up until someone tromped on his toes with all the force of an elephant.

“Fuck!” Erin shrieked, eyes snapping open as he tried to pull his left foot free.

But no. He was pinned in place, and glaring at a face he recognized.

A smug, irritating face, complete with a smirk that covered a set of fangs. Suddenly there was space all around Erin, the other dancers moving away, probably subconsciously because of the predator in their midst.

Erin shoved at the vampire. “Get off my foot, Jude, you ass!”

Even in the funky club lighting, Erin could see the amusement in Jude’s moss-green eyes.

“Whoops.” Jude moved his foot, but before Erin could turn away, Jude slipped right up to him and began dancing.

“What the—” Erin began, only to find the rest of his sentence muffled against Jude’s broad chest as Jude wrapped his arms around Erin. Partially around—he planted his huge hands right on Erin’s ass.

Erin’s cock had been half-hard while he’d been dancing before, but now it firmed up embarrassingly fast. There was no way Jude wouldn’t feel how turned on he’d gotten in a matter of seconds.

Jude squeezed Erin’s butt and pressed closer.

And Erin felt the hot length of Jude’s arousal pressed to his belly. Erin gasped and couldn’t form a coherent thought. There was a tangle of them instead, all based on the fact that Jude was turned on by him, after years of knowing him and being more adversary than friend.

Although there’d been a time when Erin had thought they might fuck not long after they’d first met, it hadn’t happened.

Jude rumbled, and Erin felt as well as heard the sound. Jude was so much more than Erin, at least when it came to build. Where Erin was slender and not particularly tall, Jude was broad of shoulders and chest, and several inches over six feet.

He was also hairy. Erin had seen him shirtless before. Jude had a damned pelt on his chest, for crap’s sake! And he had more hair on the backs of his knuckles than a lot of men had on their head.

That might be an exaggeration. Erin’s brain kicked in and his synapses began to function. He started to pull back, intending to demand an explanation for Jude’s appearance and behavior.

Jude kneaded his ass again, harder, and bent to nuzzle his nose along Erin’s cheek. “You look like a man who needs a good, hard fuck.”

Erin flushed hot then cold. Despite the fact that he’d come to the club looking for just that very thing, he felt called out and angry over Jude’s keen observation. He managed to get his hands between himself and Jude, and pushed. Didn’t put much space between them—or any space at all—but it did help Erin to be able to raise his head and glare up at Jude. “Look, I don’t know what your problem is, but I’m not in the mood to be judged because I want to get fucked.”

“Who’s judging?” Jude murmured.

Erin shivered as he felt the scrape of teeth over his cheekbone. Jude wasn’t biting him, but the threat of it, even if it was only Erin’s perception, did wicked things to his libido.

Jude slipped one hand farther down, cupping beneath Erin’s ass, his fingertips brushing Erin’s hole, then his balls as he parted his legs.

God, but he was burning up with the need to screw.

“I want to fuck, you want to be fucked,” Jude continued before nipping Erin’s jaw. “Wanna fuck you until you scream for me, Erin.”

Erin panted when he tried to speak. His nerves were going haywire with lust, all of his pleasure centers pinging and screaming at him to get Jude’s cock in him, ASAP.

But as much as Erin had been trying to shut down his chaotic thoughts earlier, now his mind zapped into focus. He didn’t push himself away, however. Instead, he asked, “Why?”

Jude followed another nip with a lick that made Erin shiver. “Because you’re sexy and horny, and I can smell your need. I want to fuck you. You want to let me. What else matters?”

There was probably something else that should have mattered, like why now? or if Jude had come there looking for him, or if this was all just a chance encounter of two horny men who happened to know each other.

Jude sucked on a spot under Erin’s left ear. At the same time, he moved his hand back up and pressed his fingertips hard to the seam of Erin’s jeans. Erin felt the rub of those digits over his pucker and whimpered, clenching his ass.

“I’ll make it so good for you, Er,” Jude whispered, breath warm on Erin’s ear. “So good.”

Erin was too confused to answer. He wasn’t even sure it was a question. Inside his head, chaos ruled—this was Jude, a vampire, for fuck’s sake, and one he had known for years at that. And in those years, not once had Jude ever come on to him.

But he was sure making up for it now, nibbling along the side of Erin’s neck, moving his hands up and down Erin’s back, over his ass, tugging him closer, sucking on skin, kneading, grinding—

Erin’s body was going to overheat with lust. He had a rule, though, which was never fuck a vampire. Not that he had anything against them. He just suspected that his twin was trying to find Erin a vampire mate so he wouldn’t be biting the dust like the average mortal.

Plus, he’d never really been attracted to vampires, not like he was to Jude, anyway. Erin remembered that first spark when he’d met Jude years ago, but Jude had been a damaged newbie vamp and Erin had had no interest at the time in dealing with Jude. They’d been sort of friends, though never anything more.

And now Erin wondered why that was, because Jude felt so perfect against him. Strong, safe, mysterious yet known enough to be trusted.

Deadly. He’s a vampire. Erin only had to think of the violence he saw on the news every single day to know humans were more of a threat to him than a vampire was.

“Let me have you,” Jude murmured right before he tongued Erin’s earlobe. “I’ve waited so long…”

Erin frowned at that. He might have asked what Jude meant had Jude not started to suck on a spot right below Erin’s ear.

“Oh,” Erin managed, eyes sliding closed as he tipped his head back. Damn, but it felt good, what Jude was doing to him, and better than anything Erin had experienced in a long time. Really, this was the perfect solution for his needs tonight. Erin could let go, and not worry that Jude would take advantage of him in any way.

“Can I?” Jude asked, his voice guttural, breath ghosting over Erin’s neck.

Lust pulsed through Erin with so much strength it nearly took him to his knees. Right then, he’d have let Jude do anything at all to him. Rather than confess as much, Erin gripped him tight on the shoulders, opened his eyes, and demanded, “You want me? Take me home.”
