They knew all along that Peter had another family.

I was the only one left clueless.

I didn't go in to question them.

Instead, I headed out to the yard and bought Jack a popsicle.

Jack happily licked his popsicle and asked, "Mom, when are we going home?"

"Tomorrow," I replied.

"Okay," he said.

That night, I was lying in bed at Nancy's place, and I didn't sleep at all.

One thing kept running through my mind: how could Alex and Nancy all be so at ease with this?
