Walking out of Lancaster Group, I felt my heart still hammering against my ribs. The anxiety wouldn't let go.

The moment I walked through the door at home, Lily knew something was off.

She squinted at me. "Susan, what's with you? Did you do what I told you to do today?"

I blanked. "Do what?

"The invitation? I already talked to Edward myself. Don't worry."

I started to walk away, but she suddenly grabbed my wrist and shoved a bright red traditional wedding dress into my arms.
