The evening breeze drifted by, warm and tinged with the earthy scent of grass.

My heart skipped a beat, my cheeks burning. I looked away from him, mumbling under my breath.

"Like I'd ever settle for you," I muttered.

He didn't say a word, just silently linked his pinky with mine.

His touch was light, a bit sweaty, but so sure.
