Chapter 3
I widened my eyes, feeling totally clueless.
In no time, despite my struggles, a few men forced me onto the bicycle, laying me flat.
Next, they snatched the tape from the ground and roughly bound me to the bicycle with it.
"Let me go!" I yelled.
Once I was tied up, Sabrina pulled out her phone and started filming me.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and teach this bridesmaid some rules!" she barked.
As soon as she finished, the men looked me up and down with predatory eyes.
Then, they moved in, barely able to contain their eagerness.
I struggled desperately, panic rising in my chest.
"What the hell are you doing? This is illegal!" I shouted.
"Back off!"
I tried to wriggle away, but I was completely stuck.
My frantic struggling made the bike tip over with a loud bang.
I went down with it.
Just my luck—the heavy bike ended up right on top of me, pinning me down even more tightly.
Sabrina smirked disdainfully.
"Shameless as always. The moment you heard there were men around, you just couldn't wait to get their attention," she sneered.
"I'll talk to my husband later and make sure he never speaks to you again.
"There are plenty of good women out there. Why would he waste his time on someone like you?" she scoffed.
One of the men lunged at me, crushing me painfully beneath his weight.
Several hands deliberately roamed beneath my skirt and over my chest, leaving me feeling utterly exposed.
Sabrina, determined to humiliate me further, pointed her phone straight at my most vulnerable spots.
Trying to dodge their disgusting mouths, I got slapped hard several times instead.
Blood oozed from the corner of my mouth, and my whole body felt like it was being torn apart.
"This is what happens when you cross me!" Sabrina sneered.
With a subtle signal from Sabrina, the man tried to take things even further.
Just as I was drowning in despair, wishing I could just end it all, a voice called out from the doorway, intentionally loud and clear.
"The groom's here to pick up the bride!" someone shouted.
The man on top of me jumped off in a panic.
The others scattered in a hurry.
Hope surged through me, and I shouted at the top of my lungs.
"Luke—mmph!" I managed to call out, but before I could finish, Sabrina rushed over and clamped her hand over my mouth, my voice muffling into a whimper.
She grabbed the tape from the ground and started wrapping it tightly around my mouth, layer after layer.
Finally, she gave my face a humiliating little pat.
"You really think my husband's going to save you, you pathetic tramp?" Sabrina sneered.
"Believe me, if I weren't worried about my wedding, I'd have everyone in this room watch you work your little tricks.
"Now, just sit there and watch how my husband treats me like a queen."
With that, Sabrina ordered the burly guys to close in around me, making sure I had no way out.
Then, she straightened her wedding dress, flashed a bashful smile, and asked them to open the door.
I could hear everyone inside the room, their voices full of joy and celebration, but it was as if I'd been completely forgotten. Hopelessness filled me.
Out of nowhere, Luke spoke up, "Where's Alice? Wasn't she supposed to be your bridesmaid? Where is she?"
Hope sparked inside me. With a burst of determination, I rammed the bike as hard as I could, trying to make as much noise as possible.
"Hey, what's that noise?" Luke called out.
Luke's footsteps got closer, but Sabrina intercepted him before he could reach me.
"Oh, that's probably just the dog messing around," she said, brushing it off.
"Babe, I haven't seen that bridesmaid you were talking about anywhere.
"Seriously, look at who you picked—so unreliable.
"Come on, we're running out of time. Let's get moving," she urged.
With Sabrina brushing him off, Luke could only push down his suspicions and go along with it.
He took Sabrina and her relatives out to the car, and they all got in together.
Meanwhile, I was roughly lifted, covered with a cloth, and shoved straight into the trunk.
When the cloth was finally pulled away, I realized I was now inside Luke's bridal suite.
Luke was nowhere to be seen. Only Sabrina and her relatives remained, eyeing me like a pack of wolves ready to strike.
Sabrina kicked me viciously, landing several hard blows.
"Maybe I would've let you go, but you just had to try and steal my husband!" she spat.
"Today, I'm going to let everyone see just how low you can go.
"Take her outside. In our tradition, bridesmaids aren't supposed to have it easy," she ordered.
With my mouth taped up, I could only let out muffled sounds, helpless to say anything.
I glared at Sabrina, my eyes burning with rage.
Sabrina completely lost it, her anger exploding out of nowhere.
She slammed her stiletto heels into me over and over, and blood oozed out almost instantly.
"What's going on?" Luke shouted, sounding worried.
The commotion was so loud that Luke shoved through the crowd, rushing over.
When he saw the scene in front of him, he was shaking with rage.
"What the hell are you doing?" he yelled.
"Sabrina, how could you do this to Alice? Let her go, now!" Luke shouted, his voice shaking with anger.
He tried to rush over, but Sabrina jumped in front of him, blocking his path and holding him back.
"Babe, do you really care about this tramp that much?" Sabrina snapped, blocking Luke with a jealous glare.
"You said you'd only ever love me! Now this vixen is humiliating me in front of everyone, and you still want to defend her?" she shouted, her eyes blazing as she held Luke back.
Luke was stunned, frozen in fear. "What nonsense are you talking about? Alice is Mr. Bowen's daughter!" he shouted.
But Sabrina wasn't buying it. She put on a wounded look, playing the victim for everyone to see.
Her eyes shimmered with unshed tears, making her look heartbreakingly fragile.
"I'm your wife. How could you do this to me for her?
"How am I supposed to manage the Greenwood family after this? What will people think of me?
"Know your place. I'm the wife here, and my dignity is not up for discussion.
"I need to teach her a real lesson.
"This is women's business, honey. Stay out of the backyard drama.
"If you can't even give me this much face, then maybe we shouldn't get married at all!" she threatened, her voice sharp and unforgiving.
While Luke was still stunned, Sabrina threw the door wide open, letting the crowd of guests who'd been waiting outside for the drama pour in to watch everything unfold.
"Take her clothes off!" Sabrina ordered coldly, her eyes flashing with cruelty.
I shook my head frantically, trying to scoot away.
Sabrina wasn't about to let me go. She acted all high and mighty, pretending she was in the right.
"You're my bridesmaid, and I'm Mrs. Greenwood. No one would dare mess with me," Sabrina said, flaunting her status.
"The wedding has to be lively, so you'll just have to put up with their pranks and let everyone have a good laugh," she said, her tone icy and dismissive.
