Amy stared at Henry in disbelief. "You were planning to cheat Queenie out of her payout from the very start?"

Henry tried to protest, but I pulled out another document. "This is the notarized application from last October. You forged my signature to transfer the house into your name.

"The notary caught the fake signature and rejected it. So you switched to a mortgage instead to get the money first."

With every word I spoke, Henry's face went a shade paler. By the end, he slumped to the floor, completely defeated.
