Chapter 4

Once Wendy had money again, it didn't take her long to build a little posse at school.

That afternoon, right after the final bell, she had her cronies grab me in front of the entire class. No one said a word. No one tried to stop them.

They dragged me into the girls' bathroom. Wendy had me cornered with her chin raised high.

"You know, Olivia," she said. "Even though you and Ryan are nothing now, I just can't seem to feel secure.

"So, why don't you help me feel a little better?"
