Goodwin dragged me along as we scrambled through the cramped air duct.

The dust choked me up, making my throat burn.

From the living room below, we could hear Arthur losing his mind, smashing things in a fit of rage.

He shouted, "Damn it. Check the cameras.

"If that walking blood bag gets away, you're all dead!"

Goodwin stopped at a fork in the duct and pulled out a syringe glowing with an eerie blue light.

Without a second thought, he plunged the needle straight into my vein.
