"Miss Emily Harper?" one deputy said, handing her a separate notice to vacate. "At the request of Starlight Media, and pursuant to the court's order, all assets under your name have been frozen. This is the official notice. We're here to change the locks."

Emily took notice, feeling completely at a loss.

Everything was frozen.

Richard's legal team didn't only send the lawyer's letter. They also filed for an asset freeze at the same time.

The court approved and enforced it all in one night. By morning, every asset in her name was locked down.
