Chapter 5

Our lips tangled together in a deep, passionate kiss. Ryan had already hung up the phone and tossed it onto the dining table, his arms locked around my waist, our bodies pressed tightly against each other.

When the kiss finally ended, he buried his face in my neck, his ragged breaths and my racing heartbeat melding into one.

"Em..." he murmured my name over and over, his arms clamped around me so tightly, as if he were afraid I'd slip away.

From that day on, Ryan and I were pretty much living like a couple. My dad was out hunting…
