After that day, Edward seemed like a completely different person.

He stopped using work as an excuse to spend all day with Charlotte.

He even started acting like the other officers in the family compound. After work, he'd grab two dishes from the mess hall and a bag of bread.

He bought more than 400 pounds of firewood for the house, and every evening after work, he'd heat his food in the kitchen.
