Chapter 1
When my sister and I chose our marriage alliances, she rushed to claim the noble were-dragon, and I married the savage werewolf instead.
Not long after the wedding, the were-dragon died. My sister lost her support and suffered constant humiliation.
The werewolf, however, proved sharp and capable. He built massive wealth through sheer business talent.
My sister hated me to the core. During the sacrificial ceremony, she stabbed me to death.
When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back on the day we chose our marriage alliances. This time, my sister grabbed the werewolf's hand first.
I understood at once that she had also returned to the past.
But my sister didn't know that werewolves were violent by nature. They solved problems with their fists.

In the hall, I stared at my sister, Aisha Ingham across from me, stone-faced.
Her face lit up with excitement.
She gushed, "Mom, I fell for Darryl the moment I saw him. Please, let me marry him."
Mom's expression soured dramatically. "The werewolves are infamous for being brutal and wild, and Darryl doesn't have a penny to his name. Marrying him would be pure misery for you."
Even though we were both her daughters, Mom had always favored Aisha.
She could never stand to see her beloved daughter suffer, not even a little.
When Mom refused, Aisha started freaking out. "I'm marrying him, I mean it. If you don't let me, I'll smash my head right here and die."
Mom nearly fainted on the spot and quickly gave in.
Seeing Aisha's smug grin, I knew she'd returned to the past too.
In my previous life, she grabbed the noble were-dragon Javier Ashwood before I could even react.
That meant I had no choice but to marry Darryl Lacour, the werewolf, and got sent off to some godforsaken wilderness.
After the wedding, I took care of the house and used my savings to back his business ventures.
Darryl didn't disappoint me. He grabbed every chance and raked in a fortune.
Meanwhile, the were-dragon clan was always caught up in wars. Javier went off to fight and never made it home.
Aisha ended up a widow, and the other were-dragons swarmed in to snatch up everything she owned.
Her life was pure hell.
She became obsessed with the idea that I'd stolen the luxurious life that was supposed to be hers.
During one of the big sacrificial ceremonies, she tricked me out and had me ambushed, hacking me to death.
She screamed, "If I can't have happiness, then neither can you."
I could still see her crazed, bloodshot eyes from my previous past life, and my fists clenched instinctively.
Since she chose to walk into hell herself this time, I'd support her with everything I've got.
I said, "Since you're so taken with Darryl, Aisha, I'm willing to step aside."
Aisha's eyes were practically sparkling with excitement. She could already see a life of luxury just around the corner for her.
"If Aisha hadn't been so considerate and handed you this golden opportunity, you'd never get ahead in life. Hurry up and thank her." Mom shot me a reluctant look.
Aisha snatched what was supposed to be mine and still wanted me to thank her.
Talk about shameless.
"No need for thanks. It's just what big sisters do: step aside and let their little sisters have the spotlight," Aisha said.
Aisha was already itching to leave. Barely a few words in, she bolted off to the werewolves to talk wedding plans.
Mom smiled indulgently at Aisha, but the moment her eyes landed on me, her face went cold.
She said, "You know how things are at home. There's not enough money for two weddings.
"Moreover, your sister's marrying into the werewolf clan, and it's a hard life over there. I'll give her extra money too."
I got what she meant right away.
I couldn't help but let out a cold laugh.
Back in my previous life, when Aisha married into the were-dragon clan, Mom came up with different reason.
She said, "The were-dragon clan is highly prestigious. If Aisha doesn't have enough money, people will look down on her and give her a hard time."
Bottom line, she would never give me any money.
I couldn't care less.
"Whatever you decide is fine with me," I said.
Seeing me so agreeable, Mom suddenly looked a bit awkward.
She slipped off her bracelet and placed it in my hand.
"Your grandmother gave this to me when I got married. Now I'm passing it on to you. Count it as a little something from me, as your mom," she said.
When Aisha found out I was marrying Javier, she nearly doubled over with laughter. She said, "You really hit the jackpot, Denice.
"Everyone knows Javier's got noble blood and looks good enough to eat. He's every woman's dream guy. Just wait till you marry him, you'll be living the high life.
"But you know, the were-dragon clan is always at war. You better tell him to be careful or your husband might die before you even get to enjoy your fancy new life."
Just imagining me ending up a widow soon made Aisha feel smugly satisfied.
Meanwhile, all she had to worry about was how she'd spend her fortune in the future.
But what she didn't realize was that Darryl, for all his brains, thrived on violence.
In my previous life, if I so much as annoyed him, he'd go off on me with his fists and boots. Not a single inch of me was left unscathed.
It wasn't until I gave up every last business trick I knew that he finally backed off, once his business took off thanks to what I taught him.
