Chapter 5

Silence hung in the air for a solid minute.

Logan shot to his feet, his face twisted with rage. "What did you just say?"

Finley, on the other hand, burst out laughing. "You're something else, Ms. Larson."

Since I'd had a drink, I waited for my assistant to pick me up after seeing Finley out.

Outside the restaurant, I spotted a few shady figures lurking in the distance, no doubt paparazzi tipped off by Nathalie.

Catching my reflection in the glass door, I saw my own bright, confident face staring back.

Too bad for them. They wouldn't be getting any…
