He said, "Hello, is this the police?

"Someone has broken into the top floor of Building A at Tranquil Manor and is threatening my wife.

"Please send someone over to deal with it."

His voice was calm, but every word was clear and precise.

Breaking and entering.

Threatening someone's life.

Sherry's face turned as pale as a sheet.

No matter how unreasonable she was, even Sherry knew she couldn't just walk into a police station like it was nothing.

Sean was getting nervous too.

He grabbed Sherry's arm, his voice gentler now.

"Sharon, don't do this. Let's just talk, okay?
