Chapter 5

My mom cried so hard she could barely breathe. It broke my heart, and I wanted to run over and hug her.

But I couldn't. I was dead, and I was just watching a recording.

She cried herself hoarse, and only then did she call the police.

The police and the coroner showed up together.
