Chapter 1
In my previous life, during the Silvermoon Pack's mate selection ceremony, I rescued a wolf who had been utterly crushed in a territory battle.
That wolf turned out to be Julian Redford, the Alpha heir of the Redsun Pack.
To thank me for saving him, Julian went back to his pack and declared me his future Luna right away.
Less than a year later, I gave birth to a rare pure-blood Alpha for the Redsun Pack— something they hadn't seen in a century.
Julian was over the moon. After his father stepped down, he officially named me his Luna. I had a mate who only appeared loyal, and I held the ultimate status in the pack.
Meanwhile, my sister Rosalie chose the formidable Alpha Jacob Stone of the Stone Ridge Pack. But she suffered for her betrayal and was eventually banished back to our Silvermoon Pack.
The pack believed she had disgraced our name and cast her out. Out of pity for her loneliness, I brought her into the Redsun Pack's territory.
But jealousy took root in her heart. She killed me with poison, then threw our child from the tower.
The moment I opened my eyes, I found myself back at the mate selection ceremony. I watched as Rosalie rushed straight for Julian, the wolf barely clinging to life in the woods.
I realized right then that she'd travel to the past too.
But she had no idea that saving an Alpha was one thing, but giving birth to his pure-blooded heir was a whole different story.
Being Luna of the Redsun Pack was no walk in the park.

To ensure the pack's strength and growth, every young woman in the Silvermoon Pack had to choose her mate during the coming-of-age ceremony. Rosalie and I were known as the most beautiful females in the pack. When word got out that we were picking mates, almost every eligible male from the neighboring packs showed up at our camp.
My mind was a mess. My head was splitting. I just wanted to roll on the ground in agony.
Rosalie stood beside me, her face glowing with excitement, while the pack elder, Dereck Silvermoon, droned on and on.
Seeing this familiar scene, I clenched my fists. I'd traveled back right back to the day we were supposed to choose our mates.
Seeing Rosalie's sweet smile, I couldn't stop myself from shivering. If I hadn't lived through her betrayal in my last life, I'd never have guessed how much poison hid beneath that sugary grin.
Back then, on our way to the ceremony hall, we stumbled upon a wolf nearly dead from burns. Rosalie, eager to snatch the strongest mate before I could, waited until I was busy healing the wolf, then dashed off to the hall ahead of me.
After picking Alpha Jacob Stone from the Stone Ridge Pack, she spread rumors that I didn't care about the ceremony and sent the rest of the eligible males packing.
When I finally arrived, the hall was deserted. Dereck chewed me out for being reckless and tossed me into solitary to reflect on my so-called mistakes.
Rosalie was absolutely thrilled. I'd always been the one blessed by the Lunar Deity. My wolf form was more stunning, and I'd overshadowed her since we were pups. The pack favored me, and she hated it.
Now that I couldn't find a mate and had managed to offend several packs, Rosalie was loving every second of it.
Just as the pack started worrying about my future, an envoy from the Redsun Pack arrived, loaded down with lavish gifts, asking for me to become their Alpha heir's Luna.
Turned out that the dying wolf was Julian Redford from the Redsun Pack.
When Rosalie got the news, her face contorted in rage and envy.
Less than a year after my ceremony with Julian, I gave birth to a pure-blood Alpha—something the pack hadn't seen in a century.
Julian was over the moon. As soon as his father stepped down, he officially named me his Luna. The whole Redsun Pack was grateful for the powerful heir I'd given them, and the elders were always on Julian's case, telling him to stay faithful and never disappoint me.
I was basking in glory.
But Rosalie's life turned into a nightmare. After marrying Jacob, her cheating was exposed, and she was sent back to the Silvermoon Pack, bruised and barely holding herself together.
The pack saw her as a disgrace and kicked her out. She ended up on the streets, fighting rogue Omegas for scraps and getting humiliated by them.
I pitied her for being so alone, and because we were blood sisters, I brought her back to the Redsun Pack.
But when Rosalie saw how high I'd climbed, jealousy twisted her heart. While I wasn't looking, she poisoned me with venom, then tossed my child from the tower.
She hated me to her core. That poison was the kind that could make werewolves wish for death rather than endure the pain.
Just thinking about the agony I suffered before dying in my last life made me shudder. I quietly edged away from Rosalie.
Rosalie kept scanning the area, and when we reached the woods where I'd once saved Julian, I stayed put.
Rosalie suddenly shoved me aside, flashing a sweet smile. "This wolf looks so pitiful. I'm going to save him. Clara, you can head to the ceremony hall first."
Without hesitation, she went straight to Julian, saving him and patiently tending to his wounds.
Watching her act like this, I finally understood. Rosalie had traveled back too.
I waited nearby, but she grew impatient and kept urging me to leave.
I didn't hesitate but turned and walked away, leaving her lost in her dreams of becoming the ultimate Luna.
Rosalie, saving a life was easy, but becoming Luna was a whole different thing. In my last life, you only saw me basking in power and glory, but you never saw how the thorns of that crown tore me apart.
