"You... you dare to curse the Crown Prince?" Serena stammered, her voice trembling.

"I wouldn't dare," I replied, stepping back and sitting down again. "Just a friendly reminder. The higher you climb, the harder you fall."

"Right now, you're walking a dangerous line atop Virethar Palace. The wind's fierce up there. Watch your step."

Serena's face went pale, then flushed with anger. She shot me a deadly glare, snapped her sleeve, and stormed off.

I watched her leave, grabbed her half-finished coffee, and poured it out onto the floor.
