On my 65th birthday, my daughter, Celia Whitaker, had a serious conversation with me about sending me to a nursing home. She explained that work had become overwhelming, and with her child facing critical exams, she simply couldn't manage to care for me any longer. I didn't cry or make a fuss. I sat by the window, leisurely took a sip of my warm coffee, and glanced toward the door. In that instant, I realized that some debts should have been settled long ago.
