I nodded.

As I lay in bed, I got a text from an unknown number.

[Tomorrow night, 7 PM, Scarly Hotel. Payment.]

It was definitely Mateo.

I sighed and texted back, "Okay."

I shut my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

After trying on wedding dresses with Jack, I arrived fashionably late at Scarly Hotel.

Mateo's assistant led me to the room.

His shirt was undone, showing off his toned chest. I swallowed hard.

He smirked, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Does Jack even realize he's basically handing you over to another man?"
