Back in middle school during PE, after running, my vision suddenly went dark and I dropped right there on the field.

Charles, who was in high school then, saw the whole thing. He freaked out and scooped me up, rushing me straight to the nurse's office.

The doctor told me I had low blood sugar and should always have some candy or chocolate with me.

After that, Charles made sure every pocket, every nook and cranny in my bag or jacket, anywhere he could possibly stash something, was always packed full of candy.
