I lay in the hospital bed, took a sip of water, and continued in a hoarse voice, "Mrs. Carter, you're acting just like those overbearing mothers-in-law you see in TV dramas.

"They keep saying that once the baby's born, they'll hire a nanny or take care of everything themselves, so their daughters-in-law won't have to worry about a thing.

"But honestly, as soon as the babies arrive, all the responsibility will end up on the mothers.
