The chain around my neck bit into my skin as Xavier jerked me forward, my bare feet scraping against the rough stone of the Shadow Pack's common area. Every step sent fresh waves of pain through my body, still healing from the full moon's torture.

"Keep walking," Xavier growled, his fingers tightening around the chain. "I want everyone to see what a dual-mated whore looks like."
