Chapter 5

Two weeks later, Ethan called me.

He'd been waiting for me to give in. After all, I was always at his beck and call.

Now that I'd stopped buttering him up, he thought I was playing hard to get. All he ended up with was his pack barely hanging on.

"How long are you going to keep this up?" Ethan snapped, his tone dripping with blame.

I hung up on him right then and there.

The phone rang again right away.

"I miss you. Can you come to me?" Ethan's voice turned all whiny and pitiful, nothing like the cocky…
