Chapter 5

"Go!" Alexander barked, and the bodyguards rushed forward.

The lid of the coffin above me let out a harsh creak.

Light and fresh air flooded in all at once, and I clamped my eyes shut against the sudden sting.

Outside, everything was dead silent.

After a few seconds, I heard Alexander's voice, cold and emotionless. "Take a good look. There's nothing inside."

Nothing?

I jerked my eyes open and saw that someone had put a thick wooden board right above me.

Then, with a heavy bang, the coffin lid slammed shut, sealing me in completely.
