Chapter 4

Two security guards seized me by the arms and began dragging me toward the exit.

I struggled wildly, fighting to break their grip. "Let go of me. I came here to get back what's mine!

"Give me back my money!"

Richard's face turned dark with rage. He charged over and brought his hand across my cheek with all his strength.

The slap sent blood seeping from the corner of my mouth and my ears ringing so loudly I could hear nothing else as I crumpled to the floor.
