Ethan stared at me, the surprise on his face quickly giving way to irritation.

"Claire, we're just talking about a room."

"We? This is our home!"

I looked at Maya.

"Did she ask Sophie to move?"

Maya immediately shook her head.

"No. I never said that."

"Then this is coming from you."

I turned back to Ethan.

"You decide what Maya needs for her, and then you decide what Sophie should give up for her."

"I just thought it would be more convenient."

"Convenient for who?"
