Adrian’s POV

Adrian's drive home felt unusually easy.

He had dealt with Sienna's little crisis, sent a few reassuring messages afterward, and left her convinced that everything between them was still exactly where it should be.

As for Vivienne, he wasn't worried. She had always been gentle, forgiving, and deeply attached to the life they had built together.

A bouquet of flowers and dinner tomorrow would be enough to smooth things over.

When he opened the front door, the house was dark.
