Linda pulled up downstairs at my place.

I slid into the passenger seat, and she started the engine.

Linda said, "Try to get some sleep. We've got seven or eight hours ahead of us."

I couldn't sleep.

My thoughts were all over the place.

Samantha's Instagram—every entry kept popping up in my mind. There was that bouquet of roses, those beautiful restaurants, that lace slip dress, and her saying, "He said he was obsessed with it," and that diamond anklet.
