Chapter 5

Ryden's father, Ethan Foster, was a seasoned businessman, always keeping his composure. He felt awkward about hitting a woman. At the same time, he didn't want his wife to hurt her own hands.

So, he snapped a branch from a nearby tree and handed it over to Alice. "No need to hurt your hand over someone like her. Use this. It'll make things easier."

With the branch in hand, Alice, no longer worried about messing up her freshly done nails, went to town on Grace, lashing out with no restraint.

Grace ended up jumping and dodging all over the place.
