All four guards released me almost at once.

I straightened and turned toward the entrance.

My grandmother, Vivienne Mercer, stood there in a dark navy dress with her silver cane in one hand. Graham Cole was behind her, along with six members of Mercer security.

Grandmother did not raise her voice.

First, she looked at the red marks around my wrists.

Then she looked at the men who had been holding me down.
