Queenie: [It's January 10th. Hope and family are almost within reach.]

Finally, everything was sorted out.

Anna would be moving into the isolation ward tomorrow, getting ready for the pre-transplant chemo.

On a day that felt like a fresh start, it just happened to be a holiday.

I went downstairs, grabbed some ingredients, borrowed the hospital kitchen, and cooked up a special soup.

There were about ten people in the ward, patients and their families.

I brought the pot in, and everyone helped themselves.

My cooking skills were nothing to brag about, but everyone enjoyed it anyway.
