Chapter 5

I went to the hospital. The child was mine alone, I didn't need Tyler's consent to arrange an abortion.

I had once looked forward to this child's arrival, but now I was clear-headed.

I couldn't take care of a child, nor could I give them a complete family.

So I chose to remove it.

Before the surgery, I called my best friend Julia. She arrived just as the surgery was finishing.

Although I had the best and most advanced surgery, and the fetus was small, minimizing the harm to me, I still felt a pain in my heart.

When I saw Julia, I couldn't help but hug her and cry silently.

She patted my back: "Chloe, I know everything! We don't need that scumbag anymore. Come stay with me for now."

Julia said I needed to rest after the abortion, I must recuperate properly. I only had her as a friend in this city, so she wanted me to move in with her.

I agreed. First, Julia and I were very close, we always helped each other and were inseparable.

Second, I didn't plan to tell my parents about this yet, afraid they would worry.

I wanted to wait until I was better before telling them about this properly.
