The first week after the divorce was peaceful.

I slept during the day, read at night, and occasionally stepped out for a walk.

My post on Instagram about the puppy was actually true.

I found a stray dog right outside my building.

It was filthy and so thin that it was skin and bones. It was hiding and shaking behind a trash can.
