Chapter 1
Nathan Winters, my boyfriend of seven years and the man I bankrolled, messed with my brakes.
All because his first love, who once dumped him, wanted him back.
Three days after my death, they threw a grand wedding.
Edward Sterling, my sworn enemy of seven long years, helped me destroy them. Then he actually ended his own life right at my grave.
When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back at the moment I first met Nathan.
He knocked the expensive meal I'd bought for him and snarled, "Stop trying to buy me with your goddamn money."
I turned to Edward behind him and smiled softly. "Could I buy you with it instead?"
He paused, then nervously stammered, "Y-yes, boss."

Nathan scoffed, "Think you're something special with all that money?
"Leave me alone.
"Stop trying to buy me with your goddamn money."
I stared at him, his face twisted with contempt, and nothing felt real. Wasn't I dead?
The sushi he smacked to the floor lay scattered and ruined. It looked exactly like my own body after that crash in my last life.
I watched him standing there all high and mighty. His mouth kept moving, but I heard nothing.
Suddenly, it hit me. I'd been reborn seven years ago.
Back then I was simping hard for Nathan, trying to win him over. I checked on him daily and showered him with money, support, and all the help, scared he might ever struggle.
I paid his mom's hospital bills and put his sister through school overseas. I even cleaned up his dad's gambling mess so the thugs would back off.
I gave him seven years without a single complaint. Meanwhile, he was messing around with his first love, and they plotted to kill me because I stood in their way.
Nathan tampered with the brakes on my Bentley, and I smashed head on into a truck on the highway. The car was crushed to pieces and I died on impact.
After my death, I watched them seize my fortune and throw a grand wedding. They even moved into the house I had bought for my own marriage.
"You really think any of this trash gets my attention? Dream on," Nathan scoffed.
His voice snapped me out of the shock of coming back. I glanced around fast and took in everything near me.
The same old classroom and my classmates sneering at my simp behavior...
Everything was so familiar.
I had really been reborn.
I looked at Nathan, who was acting all high and mighty, then glanced down at the mess on the floor. I said coolly, "That sushi cost 13 hundred dollars. How do you plan to pay me back?"
The whole room went dead silent right after I spoke. Even the ones sneering at me shut their mouths.
Nathan, looking superior moments ago, now opened his eyes wide in shock. "What?"
I looked down at him and kept my voice flat. "You heard me. How will you pay?"
His face turned a deep shade of red. "You... You..."
I watched him sputter for a moment and let out a cold laugh. "No money? Then get off your high horse."
The room fell dead silent. Nathan's face burned red with shock and humiliation.
"That stuff was mine the second you gave it. I can toss it if I want. Why should I pay?" he fired back.
I gave him an impatient glare. "Who ever said it was for you?"
I remembered this day all too well. Before I could say that the sushi was for him, he smacked it to the floor and started insulting me.
His first love Lily Young was seeing someone else, so he dumped all his anger on me.
I thought I had messed up and spent the whole time trying to cheer him up. He didn't give me a civil look until I bought him the latest phone.
I stared at Nathan's flushed face. "So you can't pay, huh?"
I picked up a piece of sushi from the floor, grabbed his chin before he could react, and shoved it straight into his mouth.
He stood there with that filthy sushi in his mouth, eyes wide and completely lost.
I gave him a mocking glare. "Now it's a gift. We're even, you broke loser."
He spat it out and acted like I'd mortally wounded his pride.
He jabbed a finger in my face. "Think you're special with all that goddamn money? Does cash give you the right to humiliate people?"
From behind Nathan came a low, lazy chuckle. I'd recognize that roguish drawl anywhere.
I followed the sound and found exactly the familiar face.
Edward's gaze was lowered, his hair falling across deep set brown eyes. He had killer looks and a face that could stop traffic cold.
He slowly lifted his gaze, locking eyes with me.
My heart kicked up in my chest within seconds.
His eyes narrowed, and he arched a brow with a searching look, like he wondered why I'd stopped fawning over Nathan.
He always despised that side of me, found fault with everything I did, and became my sworn rival.
Nathan's furious voice cut in again. "Don't think some new trick will make me like you.
"Stop trying to buy me with your goddamn money!"
I kept my eyes on Edward and smiled gently. "Can I buy you with it instead?"
Edward froze. The tips of his ears went red. He stammered, "Y-yes, boss."
