Without giving me a chance to refuse, Charles tried to take me straight to the hospital.

He was practically pulling me along for a check-up.

I shook my head, refusing.

My voice was so soft it almost vanished into the air.

I asked softly, "Charlie, why bother?"

After the noise of the day faded away, I stepped into the darkness.

Blood, blooming like flowers in the hands of fate.
