I let out a long breath of relief. Reading the room was one thing I was good at.

The Queen was clearly pleased with me. She issued a decree on the spot, rewarded me, and even took the chance to give the Lord Arthur, the Royal Preceptor, a warning.

Soon enough, word spread that Margery had been punished and grounded. I grinned like a cat who got the cream.

Margery should know by now that crossing me never ended well. However, I still felt a bit uneasy.

The Crown Prince really valued her. What if he stood up for her?
