I limped to the Werewolf Council and asked the staff there to take me to the hospital.

I had my assistant bring me a new phone.

When I inserted my old SIM card into the new phone, a call immediately came through.

"Nyla! You finally answered! What happened?"

My fiancé Ethan was so anxious he was nearly crying.

I looked at my freshly bandaged foot and said with downcast eyes: "Nothing serious, just sprained my ankle."

"What! Is it serious? Did you go to the hospital?"

His words were urgent, as if he wished he could appear by my side…
