Night had fallen, thick and heavy.

Inside the west wing of Grant Manor, however, the lights were blinding. Screams filled the air.

"My hand... It hurts so much!" Charlotte writhed on the bed, her hair in disarray, clutching the ruby bracelet.

Her once pale wrist had swelled horribly, her skin rotting and oozing, emitting a foul stench.

Worse still, every time she shut her eyes, she saw horrors coming for her, as if hell itself had opened and reached for her.
