Chapter 5

After a while, Edward suddenly broke into a smile. There was something almost eerie about that grin, impossible to put into words.

"Fine, so you're flunking, huh?" Edward said. He closed in on me, step by step, until he had me cornered by the window again.

"Now, let me ask you again," he said.

"Do you think I'll throw you in a dark room, feed you nothing but a piece of bread each day, track down your son, send him to an orphanage, and then find that so-called 'true love' of yours and break his legs?"
