Synopsis

Following her boyfriend Tyler's advice, Neala moves with him to the city to build a future together. Over time, however, she notices something unnerving - Tyler's affectionate words feel hollow and devoid of genuine warmth. Her suspicions are confirmed when she discovers that the man sleeping beside her each night is actually an android crafted in Tyler's likeness. In reality, Tyler betrayed her and deployed the robot to keep her deceived. Despite the deception, Neala finds herself falling in love with the android, who gradually develops authentic human emotions during their time together. When the robotics company discovers Tyler's unauthorized deployment of the prototype, they terminate his employment and demand the robot's return. Driven to desperate measures, Tyler kidnaps Neala to lure the robot into a fatal trap. In a heroic attempt to save her at a construction site, the robot pushes her out of danger and is crushed beneath falling steel scaffolding, while Tyler also perishes in the collapse. Months later, a sympathetic lead scientist secretly restores the robot's core and memory. Reunited at last, Neala and her robot partner begin a peaceful, happy life together.
