Synopsis

"You're mine to look after now. That's how it works." Luke was seven when his family adopted Mike. He's spent the twenty years since making sure no one else ever got to keep him. Mike comes home after five years abroad with a fiancée, Sarah, on his arm. Weeks later, her brakes fail on a road she'd driven a hundred times before. "I made sure her brakes wouldn't hold. I just picked the night." While Mike falls apart, Luke is right there to catch him. "I'll always be with you." By the time Mike understands what Luke actually did, and what Luke actually is, the doors are already locked. "I'm not letting go. I told you that already." Some love doesn't ask permission.
