Simon looked at me, his face full of confusion. "Is this because I took Julia's side, or because I slapped you?"

There was a storm of emotions in his eyes that I couldn't figure out. "Mandy, when did you get so petty? It's only a slap. If you're so upset, go ahead and hit me back."

I slowly pulled his hand off the doorframe. "Simon, it's not about the slap. You took the side of someone who bullied me. I'm done with you."
