I didn't tell him about the apartment right away.

I needed proof, hard evidence.

Before heading back, I'd asked my lawyer friend, Bruce Wayne, to dig into the property records.

The apartment had been Grace's, bought outright before she married Richard, in her name alone.

After she died, legally, her share of the apartment should have been split between Richard and me.

That meant I owned at least half of it.
